I. Introduction

Vehicle position detection and communication system aims at solving two problems: industrial rail locomotive position detection, and data communication between ground control room and locomotives; system consists of two parts: position detection and data communication.


The position detection part is used to detect location information, the address generator sends carrier signal to encoded cables, the antenna box receives induction signal encoded cables then sends it to vehicle address detector for processing signal, and the internal MCU calculates the location of locomotive. Since the type of detection method obtains position information on the locomotive, it is particularly suitable to a work site where multiple vehicles work simultaneously.

The communication part is used to communicate data between central control room and locomotives, the ground communicator modulates the central control room data into carrier signal then sends it to encoded cables, and then the vehicle communication antenna box receives signal and sends it to vehicle communicator for modulating data. Similarly, vehicle communicator modulates locomotive data into carrier signal and sends it to communication antenna box, the encoded cables receive signal and send it to ground communicator for modulating data, so as to realize data communication.
